Ali's Notes brings his writings to a halt.

Mithunda was guided to Ali's desk for an interview , on his first visit to Screen Newspapers office.

Ali Peter John
Ali Peter John was the most at ease among the "strugglers" and had become a must-visit journalist for budding talents.

The first page in Google that showed up while doing research on Mithunda's post-FTII days, I stumbled upon huge volumes of first-hand articles written by Ali Peter John about his encounters with the ever-smiling award-winning actor during his maiden rounds. It ranked on multiple pages and contributed to numerous websites and online pages of various former reigning film magazines and newspapers. I was enamored and floored by his expressive and descriptive themes, which were simple, elaborate, elucid and vivid.

Bollywood lost its true gem when Ali Peter John (72) breathed his last. He was a chronicler of the Hindi film industry, well known and popular among all the ranks of Bollywood and among all the generations, but it was also the world he inhabited. The veteran film journalist and blogger died on June 8 following a short illness.

Also came across an article in a  trade film magazine , which described Mithunda's first visit to Screen Newspapers office, when dada was guided by the editor of the Newspaper to Ali's desk for briefing so that Ali could pen few details of him for the dada's publicity. That's were their friendship bloomed. Ali Peter John had worked for Screen, a  popular broadsheet magazine also referred as a 'film-magazine' of the Indian Express newsgroup, for over three decades and wrote a popular column, 'Ali’s Notes' and had become his identity and is even known till now.

I never tried to miss any of Ali Peter John's Bollywood saga's articles. Individuals who prefer reading the good old Bollywood of the past will find his articles to be delightful. By bringing out the wonderful adventures of past glitterati, the struggles of famous actors, his closeness with reigning entertainers, and his mingling with former stars and celebrities, he draws out the best in himself. He was also known as strugglers friend in the Bollywood, as most of the successful Bollywood personalities had been his friend during their initial days. His canvases capture the spirit of camaraderie and comradeship among journalists and Bollywood fraternity, who found many of them to be quite warm, personable, approachable and welcoming of synergistic relationships.

Sir, we continue to enjoy and be passionate about your articles. May you be at peace. You will always be remembered in Bollywood.
